Pictures to share

I wanted to post some pics we took over the weekend... We think the country we are moving to is incredible and can't believe how lucky we are... some people don't call it luck. :) Anywoo here are some pics. The dogs, all loaded up and ready to go (left to right), Avalanche, Yogi, Sydney, Rally(ours), Rocco(ours).

Panther Creek

Friday night we went for a drive to take some pictures, we didn't have to go far to get this shot it was up in the field, Brian had to include his pickup in the picture to show off his new MTR's for anyone who doesn't know what those are they are really cool tires. :P

You don't see this in the city!

So there you are some pics of our new home, I'm no photographer but you get the idea.

Home again, home again

Brian and I made it safely home, it seems like we always go a lot slower coming home than going... maybe its because we aren't excited to get back to work, the bad air and the city. But we are here and all unpacked. We had a great Thanksgiving but still can't believe it's over. Where did 2007 go? Just a year ago our lives were so different, I had started a new job and Brian was working on starting his company, in about a month a year ago we were preparing for a week long vacation to Florida, and less than a week after we got back the 29th of December to be exact Brian got hit by a car, while walking (well running) across the street. I can't believe it's almost been a year... Brian's farther past away, our dog ate a box of rat poisoning... I never thought we would make it through the year and here we are, going strong.

While up in Idaho we took a lot of pictures to share with you. We also got a chance to take a look at the apartment we will be living in, can I say I'm glad that my husband remodels homes for a living... otherwise I would be terrified. We walked into the apartment and it's like a light in his head went on and he just started to think of all the things he can do... I don't think he stopped moving the entire time we were there checking the floor, getting into the attic, I think I picked a good one. :) Here are a couple of picture of our new place (I won't call it a home until it's complete)

This is suppose to be our living room (the crap isn't ours)

While there I also took pictures of the store and cafe, as well as the sign.

Thanksgiving pie

Kendra and I baked a dutch apple pie for thanksgiving and can I say I'm not a pie baker... I may have a little problem since all the pies at the Cafe are homemade and that is going to be my responsibility.

Total we made 11 pies and on our first one I had to take a before and after picture. Its posted below. I can cook but I'm not baker, what do you think?

Is Blogging for me?

I have had requests to start a blog since Brian and I are about to encounter and new adventure in our lives. If you all don't know we are moving to Idaho, we have plans to run the small town (most people wouldn't call it a town) North Fork Idaho. We have this great new adventure and want to share it with anyone who is interested. So I asked myself after someone (who will remain nameless) asked me to blog, is blogging really for me? I like to talk and I love to share our stories, but do I have the discipline to sit down at my computer and talk about me? I have decided that I do have the time and will sit down at my computer...

We have made our way up to the new country we will be moving for Thanksgiving, see Brian's wonderful Grandma lives about an hour (mostly dirt road) from North Fork. She has invited us to have Thanksgiving with her in her lovely home (picture right). Anytime we have the chance to go up there we jump on it, away from the city, traffic, phones, and computers... well not exactly its pretty modern day, plus I don't go anywhere without my handy dandy laptop... So here we are thinking in less than a month we will call this land home and be small town folk again... I'm still wondering if I can go back to those ways, wearing jeans and a T-shirt everyday, do I even have 7 pair of jeans to wear? I think this will be a chance to go shopping! Below are a couple of pictures I wanted to post for you all to see.
